Artic Consulting has an immediate opening for a Project Manager Consultant to join our team. This is a full-time, direct-hire position. This job is a hybrid and will be based in Redmond, WA.
Description and Responsibilities
The mission of the Consultant, Business Management Services is to assist our client with managing and executing communications and events for internal audiences such as all-hands meetings, product launches, and employee engagements. This includes multiple strategic and logistical activities, as well as managing projects within planned schedule and budget in tandem with successfully managing stakeholder expectations.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing, communication, planning and project management for an enterprise technology firm.
Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and execute internal events from start to finish, including event strategy, content creation, logistics, budgeting, and management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as communications, marketing, design, and IT to ensure the success of each event.
Plan and run executive level events and communications.
Manage event timelines and budgets, and report regularly on event status and outcomes.
Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for improvement of future events.
Communicate project status updates to appropriate stakeholders.
Build and deliver status and PowerPoint decks to a variety of audiences, including Leadership teams.
Coordinate and conduct project planning and forecasting with client.
Ensure projects are progressing on time and complying with monthly project cycles.
Conduct impact assessment analysis for projects.
Conduct Leadership team update meetings and daily status emails and detailed meeting notes.
Ensure upstream dependencies are delivering as expected and in a timely manner.
Articulate to all types of stakeholders the business goals and strategy as well as a project’s overall status, risks, and issues faced.
Establish priorities and gain commitments to the scheduled delivery with both internal and external resources.
Communicate new ideas to contribute to success for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Strong project management skills to manage a variety of tasks and motions, including tactical elements with a focus on attention to details and timelines.
Superb organizational skills including keeping track of lots of details, tasks, and action items.
Strong ability to craft communications to a variety of audiences.
Strong ability to craft communications on a variety of platforms and types.
Modern style of writing that is succinct and impactful.
Understanding of project methodologies such as Agile/Scrum and can plan out processes and stand-up new projects including mobilizing a team from zero.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams.
Ability to resolve all issues with internal and external clients involved in the projects then drive solutions.
Ability to enjoy multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Ability to learn about the business landscape through interviews with key stakeholders, where detailed notes are captured and collected to allow others to benefit from the information.
Proactively seek ways to increase the level of responsibility and take ownership of new areas of responsibility.
Ability to manage and raise issues and challenges appropriately.
Open and willing to learn new things.
Self-motivated and self-disciplined; ability to work alone at a client site to complete tasks in a timely manner without significant day-to-day management oversight.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in event planning and management, preferably in corporate events.
Demonstrate experience managing stakeholders’ expectations and effectively mitigating dissatisfied stakeholders.
Collaborative, with the ability to influence team members, development teams, and other business groups, often without direct management authority.
Prior consulting experience.
Ability to travel as necessary.
Professional Skills
Comfortable with the M365 suite of tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.
Relentless planning and forecasting skills.
Excellent risk management skills
Proven expertise to lead, mentor and train, to build team morale and interpersonal skills
Effective time management and organizational skills

Salary Range
$110,000 - $175,000
